How to Protect Yourself From the Coronavirus – Travelers Edition
With the media doing a great job scaring people about the dangers of Coronavirus, we wanted to put together tips on how to protect yourself from the Coronavirus while traveling.
Tip #1 Wash your hands FREQUENTLY
Washing your hands for at least 30 seconds frequently with soap and water or you can use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. This eliminates bacterias if they are on your hands.
Tip #2 Quickly Controlling your germs
We were all taught the proper way of covering your mouth when sneezing, coughing and the process of making sure we are controlling our germs. These simple procedures will help us properly protect others and ourselves from lowering our defenses.
Tip #3 Avoide touching eyes, nose and mouth regularly
Our hands touch many surfaces that can be contaminated with the virus. So to eliminate the chances of being affected by any bacterias or viruses you should refrain from touching these places as much as possible.
Tip #4 Protecting yourself in markets
If visiting a local market ensuring regular hand washing or applying hand sanitizer after handling of food and animals is recommended. Properly handling and cleaning goods of any kind and refraining from touching your face is recommended as well.
Tip #5 Maintaining a safe distance socially
Maintaining at least 3 feet distance between yourself and others, mainly people with flu-like symptoms is recommended. This protects from respiratory diseases that if you are too close, you can breathe in the virus.
Buying travel size sanitizer and wipes will help eliminate germs when a bathroom isn’t available.
A mask do not help eliminate bacterias.
You will not contact Coronavirus from drinking a Corona.
By any means, your health is extremely important and you should not feel embarrassed or uncomfortable performing any of the tips on this list. It’s your right to protect your health.
