3 Day Manu Cloud Forest
Named after female greek warriors, the Amazon is one of the biggest territories in south america which exotic beauty attracts visitors worldwide. This time we want to take to the incredible and amazing beauty of the Amazon on the peruvian side of the Manu National Reserve. The Manu tour 3 days will begin in Cusco and travel to the jungle, passing a numerous landscapes very different from the Andean region.
During the Manu tour 3 days, we will be visiting colonial towns, jungle villages and the expansive Amazon basin.
There will be an optional activities of mountain biking or water rafting to choose from once we settle in the National Reserve. For those looking to relax, forest walks provide the opportunity to study forest life. Whatever you choose, the cloud forest's fantastic array of plants, animals and bird life will be revealed to you on this Manu tour 3 days.

On the first day of our Manu tour 3 days, we will pick you up very early from your hotel or meeting point. This first day, of our journey, it will take us through the majestic Andean mountains that boasts heaps of flora and fauna typical of the Andean mountains. We will see on this route birdlife such as mountain Cacara, Puna Ibis and the Andean flicker.
On our way to the forest, we will see the pre-Inca Lupaca culture burial towers before arriving at the colonial-era village of Paucartambo. The village of Paucartambo, is the gateway to the forests of Manu for centuries and here we will visit some colonial buildings.
Finished our break, we will be continuing our Manu tour 3 days, leaving Paucartambo and travelling until we get to Acjanaco Pass (3,850 meters / 12,630 feet) this is the entrance to Manu National Park. From this location we will have the views of the Amazon basin and below us the road that will takes us down through Andean grasslands and into the cloud forest.
The ecosystem on this side of the region is rich in flora and fauna such as the habitat of the cock-of-the-rock, crested and golden quetzals, blue-crowned motmots, gray breasted mountain toucans and many species of butterflies, ferns and orchids. At the end of this unique trip, you will spend your first night in our comfortable Paradise Lodge, in the heart of the Amazon cloud forest (1,470 meters / 4,821 feet).
This morning our Manu tour 3 days, start by leaving very early our lodge and immerse into the forests surrounding the lodge to observe the cock-of-the-rock as the males of the species perform their daily courtship ritual.
Finish this first encounter with nature in the morning, we will be taken a good breakfast at the lodge and spend the rest of the day exploring the surrounding forest at a leisurely pace. We will be visiting local farmers on their pineapple and coca leaf plantations and enjoying plenty of bird watching species, as we look out for quetzals and motmots, green jays, paradise tanagers, bay-headed tanagers, orange-eared tanagers and golden tanagers.
During our Manu tour 3 days, your naturalist guide will provide detailed information about this unique ecosystem. The road to Pilcopata is ideal for birders, facilitating short hikes into the forest. Our bus will be available to you at any time to take you to the area’s main attractions.
Aside of birdwatching and other wildlife, our Manu tour 3 days can also provide you with some adventure. There is an option to do a guided mountain biking through the cloud forest and also white water rafting (Class II and III rapids) on the Kosñipata River. Thus, it will be a very good chance for you to try one or the other activity to choose and get the most from this Manu Tour.
The night will be spent at our Paradise Lodge.

This is your last day for the Manu tour 3 days and after breakfast time you can carry on relaxing surrounded by nature. In time, our bus will come for us and leave the Manu National Reserve, to return to Cusco using the same route we came from until Paucartambo.
From Paucartambo, we will be taking the road that follows the course of the Quencomayo River as far as Colquepata and over the high pass at Apacheta (4,100 meters / 13,448 feet). From here the road descends into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, famous for its impressive buildings.
During our way back, Manu tour, will take us to the Sacred Valley to do stop a stop over here and enjoy the scenery of this place. We will also experience the way live some of the local villagers. Finally, our Manu tour 3 days will be ending once we are passing the impressive Inca archaeological site at Pisac, and continue to Cusco, where you will be transferred to your hotel.

- Entrance fees to four archaeological sites. For this you, will need to buy a Cusco Tourist Ticket. This costs 130 soles or $45 USD and a 50% discount is available for students with an ISIC card. Note: The same ticket can also be used for the Sacred Valley Tour. Alternatively, you can purchase a partial ticket that allows a one-day visit of just the four archeological sites, if you are not planning to visit the Sacred Valley.
