The Sacred valley tour has perhaps one of the most representative and beautiful landscapes of Cusco. On this half day you will touring to the most important villages and Inca sites full of history.
We will collect you at your local hotel in Cusco during the morning time around 08:30 am and travel towards Sacred Valley tour. On the way will be passing Sacsayhuaman and descend over the mountains to the majestic Urubamba River. Our first stop will be in Pisac village and visit its fantastic artisans market as well as the temple and architecture of Pisac dated from Inca times. On the Pisac artisans market, you will be having the opportunity in purchase any of the hand made crafts and textiles.
The best to come is the visit to the Inca ruins in this valley of Pisac. We will head up on a private transport and to have also a panoramic view of this impressive and beautiful Sacred valley.
There will be a guided tour to the Citadele of Pisac and see temples, homes, altars, carvings, tunnels, caves and the famous Intihuatana, "The hitching post of the sun". We have about 90 minutes to explore the ruins.
It might be the case you prefer to stay in the Pisac market or around Pisac village instead of visiting the ruins, if that's the case, your have to let your guide know your intentions so he can organize a time and place to pick you up when returning through the market.
Once we have finished visiting Pisac, then will continue in direccion to Urubamba towards Ollantaytambo but first will stop in the way to have a lunch break (not included). Ollantaytambo has a magnificent structure which is worthy to explore.
During our Sacred Valley tour to the Ollantaytambo Inca site, we will be visiting the temple of the sun, as well as noticing enormous blocks of rock perfectly carved and polished, stone water fountains, stairs and terraces.
Local people of Ollantaytambo are very proud on keeping their traditions and you will see them wearing beautifully typical dresses. This village is surrounded by their local sacred mountains and valley of Patacancha and Willoq.
Finished our journey to Ollantaytambo, we will be visiting the famous church and archaeological site in Chincheros and then return to Cusco at about 18:30-19:00 hours.
