Taste of Peru Experience and Traditional Lunch

Lima is a world-famous gastronomic hotspot, with many great chefs and acclaimed restaurants. There’s no better place than Lima to get a true taste of Peru, with its diversity of dishes, a wealth of ingredients, and historic influences from Europe and Asia, creating a wonderful fusion of flavors.
Our half-day Peruvian cooking class in Lima, Peru, includes a trip to a traditional market, a fun and practical cooking class, and finally, a wonderful lunch cooked by our professional Peruvian chef.
Our culinary adventure begins as we head to a typical local market in Lima, with our local tour guide. Here we will see many of the unique ingredients that Peru has to offer, not only from Lima but also from the Andean highlands and the Amazon rainforest. The sights, smells, and sounds of the market are invigorating, and we will see the wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and other culinary items that Peru is famous for.
After exploring the market and sampling some exotic fruits, we will leave the market and head to our culinary workshop. Here, we will meet our chef who will teach us how to prepare some of Peru's most traditional and delicious dishes. You can learn how to prepare a classic Peruvian Ceviche, a tasty Causa Limeña, a Tiradito de Pescado, or perhaps a delicious Lomo Saltado.
After learning how to cook your chosen dish, it will be time to relax as we hand the kitchen over to the chef, who will show off all of his culinary skills as he prepares us a traditional Peruvian lunch. At the same time, our chef will tell us more about Peruvian cuisine, its rich history, and the many unusual ingredients that can be found throughout the country.
We will all sit down to enjoy our lunch and continue chatting with our chef. Once lunch is over, our culinary experience will come to an end. Filled with new knowledge and full of Peruvian food, it will be time to thank and say goodbye to the chef, and then we will take you back to your hotel.
