Fantastic agent, booked direct a 12 day excursion, multiple pick ups and trips and all very smooth…use of knowledgeable local guides enhanced the experience. As seasoned global travelers we are normally used to arranging everything ourselves but decided Peru was too complicated on a tight schedule so handed everything to Valencia fantastic private tour and 000’s cheaper than trail finders etc

Classic Inca Trail – 4 Days, 3 Nights
As you’d expect with a four-day trek, there were highlights—and a few lowlights—with our Valencia Travel experience. The positives far outweighed the negatives, which is why I still give it 4 stars and would recommend Valencia. But they (and you) can learn from the communication issues we faced.
The Trip
We booked the 4-day/3-night Classic Inca Trail with Valencia Travel about 9 months in advance. We opted for a 7-person private tour, which was a modest upgrade and well worth it. Arriving in Cusco 3 days before the trek helped us adjust to the altitude—highly recommended.
The Positives
Ultimately, you are there for the four-day hike. All the equipment (except for the hiking pole) was great – they supplied the tents, hiking poles, sleeping bags, and air mattresses (the last three were extra, but well worth it and good quality). The food was fantastic. Hats off to our cook. Our porters were great—friendly and top notch in their support of our trek. Our guide, Leevo was FANTASTIC. He was a font of knowledge and a source of fun. And, he played the flute, often bringing it out while we hiked. This bonus made the trip seem all the more magical.
The Negatives
The biggest issue was poor communication, especially at key moments.
What to Know as a Traveler:
• Expect a pre-trek meeting the night before.
• They may randomly drop off duffle bags at your lodging.
• They stop at a restaurant the morning of the trek (no need to prep breakfast).
• If you damage equipment—even accidentally—they may try to charge high replacement fees.
What Valencia Should Know:
As a marketing professor, I share these details to help improve customer experience.
• We didn’t hear about the pre-trek meeting until the morning of the day before, forcing us to cancel dinner plans.
• Duffle bags were dropped off without notice—luckily, we were home.
• They failed to prepare for our extra luggage storage, despite prior emails. We were blamed for not explicitly confirming, which caused unnecessary stress.
• We bought breakfast ahead of time based on their written policy, only to find out they stop at a restaurant.
• One of our rented hiking poles broke mid-trek (not due to misuse). Afterward, they demanded $125 for it, later reduced to $50, and finally accepted $10. It wasn’t the money—it was how poorly the situation was handled, which left a bad final impression.

If I could give 20 ⭐️ stars I would but I cannot so I’ll only give 5 stars!
Elizabeth was absolutely brilliant, she went far and beyond to give us the absolute best time and we couldn’t be more grateful!
She explained everything with such passion that got us so excited to learn more and come back again! Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
Had the absolute best time and I couldn’t recommend her and the company enough!
Miguel helped us throughout the day, from explaining the process in detail to us to getting us the tickets and telling us more about Peru and Machu Picchu!
Best team, definitely recommend!
If you ever come to Cusco, pleeease you have to book with them if you want to have the best time!

I recently did a group tour with the lovely Claudio, he is obviously so passionate about sharing his home town, history and culture with people – you really see him get excited. I know he runs a huge number of tours beyond the normal activities such as mountain hiking and camping, so if you organise a trip with Claudio, you won’t regret it! I also had a different leader for Machu Picchu and while I can’t remember his name, he was also absolutely fantastic. No regrets. Thanks Claudio and others at Valencia!

This tour of the sacred valley far exceeded my expectations. First of all, I wasn’t expecting for it to be a private tour, so that was a pleasant surprise. Our guide, Edward was an excellent communicator and I appreciated that he reached out to inform me he’d be a few minutes late due to traffic. It’s a small detail but it just shows the commitment to clear communication. The tours of the sites were fantastic, with Edward providing great info but also being open to questions. He was very proactive about keeping the activities accessible to my mobility-restricted mother. Our driver, Edwin, was a fantastic driver…he kept moving to get us to places quickly, but did it in a manner in which we felt safe, including driving through switchbacks. The process of booking was also perfect, with actual humans answering the phone and directing you to a specialized person providing what I thought was a very reasonable price, considering how last minute we booked. I was genuinely impressed with the professionalized operation of Valencia Travel and plan to use them again when visiting Cusco.

It was a pleasure to have Aldo as our tour guide.
He warmly welcomed us in Lima when he met us at Lima airport. He has excellent interactive skills,
Aldo is very knowledgeable of Peru's history & enhanced our experiences visiting historical sites & made the trip successful in Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, & Machu Picchu
The scenery, the people the food & overall experience was truly amazing.
Thank you very much, Aldo, nothing but great memories
Keep you the good work… you are an asset to Valencia Tours.
Not forgetting our driver Richard.
Richard is an excellent diligent driver, driving up the narrow windy roads up the mountain and then down again.
Aldo and Richard are a great team.

We just had the most incredible week in Peru. The highlight of the trip was the 5 days in Cusco where Andes was our private tour guide. Valencia Travel was incredible to work with in the planning of this vacation, and was very flexible with last minute changes that we needed to make. Special thanks to Maria Diaz for your work as our travel coordinator. Andes was incredible as our private tour guide. We covered Cusco (during Corpus Christi festival), Machu Picchu, Hiked Huayna Picchu, one day Inca Trail, and Rainbow Mountain.
Valencia Travel was amazing to work with, and I would highly recommend them for any new travelers. Special thanks again to Andes (guide) , Maria (agent/coordinator) , and Washington (driver) . Thank you for making this a trip to remember for a lifetime.

Maria, from Valencia travel, helped me organise a two week trip around Peru including tours of Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, a day of cultural immersion, a four day hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and a four day jungle excursion. It was a trip 6 years in the dreaming that came to realisation for my 40th birthday.
The organisation was excellent. They not only arranged for a driver to collect me from and take me to the airport, the drivers waited to ensure that I was checked-in and directed me to the departure gates. This was very useful when one flight was cancelled as it meant I could return to Lima to explore instead of waiting at the airport.
The guides were all very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
The Inca trail, which was the inspiration for the trip, exceeded expectations. The porters worked incredibly hard and the food was incredible.
When issues arose, they responded immediately and helped resolve. The only disappointment is that I have to go home.

My husband and I booked the 4 day Inca Trail private tour. This included a 4 night stay in Cusco, pick up and drop off to airport/bus station. We were able to communicate with them directly every step of the way which made for a seamless booking process from the US and helped us feel at ease on arrival knowing we had locals we could contact if needed. We got to visit their office and meet their team and all were very kind and helpful!
We truly had an incredle experience from booking with Maria, to meeting Miguel upon arrival at the airport, and of course trekking with our incredible guide Aldo and the amazing porters who helped make trekking much more comfortable and luxurious than we're used to. We couldn't believe the 3 course meals they cooked up. Truly blew us away.
The trek itself is incredible as you're able to see so many Inca sites along the way before arriving to Macchupicchu. The mountain range was beautiful.
Aldo our guide was the best! He was very information and taught us so much about the incas and knew so much about all the trees, wildlife, and fauna we saw along the trek. He's been guiding for many years and thanks to his experience and forethought we managed to catch amazing views away from the other groups of trekkers and were the first to arrive to Macchupicchu making for an even more private experience. I highly recommend Aldo!
Valencia travel is a local company that supports all the locals they employ. I highly recommend them for any bookings!
**tip: definitely give yourself 3 days in Cusco before hiking in order to acclimate to the altitude. We saw a couple turn around due to issues with altitude.

Valencia Travel Cusco Excited my expectation.
I booked my Trip to Machu Pichu with them, and I'm so happy I chose them to go on the 4 days Inca Trail hike,
From the Sales call via WhatsApp from the US to the Trip itself, it was such a pleasant experience.
We got picked up from the Cusco Airport on arrival and briefed on the hike the next day.
We went hiking with two other couples and had 12 Porters and 1 Guide.
Our guide, Nico, was terrific; he explained everything to us throughout the hike, including the history and customs of the Incas.
The Porters and Chef Filex were exceptional and went above and beyond with all our needs.
I was surprised with a Birthday Cake on our hike, and I had no idea someone could make and decorate a cake in a tent.
It was incredibly mind-blowing.
I highly recommend them to anyone looking to do the Inca Trail.
We are extremely pleased with the service we received.
I give them A++++++

We booked via Tripadeal but our local company in Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu was Valencia Travel and our tour leader, the lovely Ruben. Ruben was an extremely knowledgeable, organised and well-connected tour leader. He was also friendly and considerate and had a great sense of humour.
We visited many amazing places on our tour of Peru, and Valencia provided us with interesting experiences in Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu and friendly informative guides to help us get the best out of those experiences.
Thankyou Ruben, Eduardo and Cosme, our guide at Machu Picchu (I'm reading your book-MachuPicchu In Inka History-fantastic!)

I chose Valencia Tours to guide me in my 4 day Inca Trail hike, and was very glad to have chosen them. Every aspect of my experience was fantastic. The communication from Valencia's office in the weeks prior to the hike was awesome. The food served by the hiking chefs on the trail was such quality that you'd think you're eating at a 5 star restaurant. My guide, Rene, treated us like family and was a big reason why I enjoyed hiking the Inca Trail so much. I'd recommend Valencia to anyone looking for a tour company to take you to Machu Picchu!

Totally recommended!

We have recently returned from Peru and can’t rate these guys highly enough.
The guides were brilliant, full of good local knowledge easy to talk to and went above and beyond. Liased brilliantly with our local tour operator and got us out of hole when things went wrong – which was out of their control. Can’t recommend them enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

We just finished the 2D/1N Inka trail hike with Guido and it was awesome! Guido was an incredible guide. I had sprained my ankle a couple of days before the trek and Guido was patient with my pace. His knowledge base was impressive. Valencia travel made the planning easy and we were pleased with all of the accommodations. We went from MP to Urumbaba and they sent a person to Aguas Calientes specifically to transfer our luggage which was impressive. The trek has some challenging stretches, but it is worth it. The view when you reach the sun gate is a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend!

Beyond Superior!
Review of 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu – Private Service
Pending review
I coordinated a group of 7 women for private service, and it was the best experience. I had no doubt Valencia Travel would provide superior service, and this was because our Tour Guide Wilbur Ramos, who is extremely knowledgeable, safety oriented, comical and genuine in our education of Inca history and its past formidable empire. As we hiked, I felt his encouragement as he played the flute as we climbed up to Dead Womens Pass, He was patient as we took as little more time, but also knew we were strong women taking on this challenge, and it was not always easy.
Our chef, Gregorio, "Goyo", had the best food of all of our Peru!! the culinary expertise of this guy whom planned a menu according to our hike plan, carbs and proteins, and we had plenty.. .I mean plenty to eat. The porters (all 10), with leads from Climico, and special mention to Fortunato who would met us at the end of the trail to help carry our personal packs to our porters applauding our days hard accomplishment. Along the entire trail, Wilbur encouraging the porter of other competitors as his "little brother" to continue to be strong as they quickly passed us on the trail. My respect to the team of Valencia Travel, the porters, head chef and his assistant and mostly to Wilbur for delivering an experience that I encourage anyone to participate in. Thank you Wilbur. we the 7 women from California, USA will forever be your "Flowers".

After searching the internet I came to the company and together with Vivian I built a three week trip in Peru, I must mention that throughout the route we had excellent guides amazing hotels and professional drivers. His professionalism and knowledge was amazing. Thanks again to the entire team of the company

Guillermo Perez and all of our porter crew were absolutely amazing. I honestly could not have asked for a better 4 day trek with them. Guillermo educated us with enthusiasm and in an engaging way along the way, took our sense of humor, laughed with us and always ensured we were doing well.
The porters and cook treated us so well and took us trying to speak their language patiently. We laughed, joked and had the most unbelievable experience each day of the trek.
Thank you to every person that was on our trek to help us through the Inka Trail.
We miss them all!
There were some challenges communicating with the office staff with some questions we had before the trek and booking it, though once we had our meeting with Guillermo it was all sorted out.

Our group of 4 just completed the classic 3-night, 4-day Inca Trail with Valencia Travel.
The entire team was amazing and they went above and beyond to make this a truly unforgettable experience. Our guide Rene was absolutely awesome – so kind, patient and encouraging. Our chef Mario blew us away with every meal – we ate better on the trail than we did half the time we spent in Peru which is astonishing.
The porters were amazing – everything was orchestrated to perfection and even though our group often hiked ahead of schedule, they had everything ready for us and made sure we were always comfortable.
I can't say enough wonderful things about Rene and Mario – I'd come back and do the trek again with them in a second.
While I was not thrilled with Valencia Travel's sales staff, Rene and Mario more than made up for it.
Highly recommend!

An experience of a lifetime. Getting off the trail felt like leaving some sort of dream. Rene was a fantastic guide. Encouraging, energetic, intelligent, great personality–and we never would have accomplished the hard bits without him. As well as Christian, his assistant who was super patient during my compulsive photo taking, and was comforting to everyone at any fitness level, they both could keep up with any pace, fast or slow, and did so together. The porters were amazing. Incredibly hard workers, kind, it was a pleasure to get to introduce all of ourselves and meet them, thanks to our guides facilitating that. The food was great, never went hungry, but always finished the last bite. I recommend hiring a personal porter so you can focus more in the scenery than your pack. Again, thank you porters. This company also had the BEST campsites. You can see the others as you're hiking and we always had the most awe-inspiring locations. The trail is much more scenic and beautiful than you can really imagine. I was blown away. And you get to walk around all the ruins, which I didn't expect either. Thank you Rene for everything!! And thank you Christian! And the cooks and the porters! Truly an experience I will remember and talk about for the rest of my life ❤

Such an amazing experience. Our guides at Valencia travel made the trip so enjoyable. They provided transportation from the airport to our hotel. We had a few days to adjust to the altitude in Cuzco, where we enjoyed the local food and shopped a bit. Then started the 4 day trek to Machu Picchu. During the hike, they told us stories of the Inca trail, cooked us amazing food, and they set up our campsites each night… it was basically “glamping.” The views were absolutely AMAZING. If I were to do the trip again I would choose Valencia Travel!

We found Valencia through Groupon, and we're absolutely delighted with the arrangements and service! Aitne was helpful in the time before our trip, answering questions and making sure we got our plane tickets so we could arrange connections. The trip itself was simply awesome. Something as "simple" as being met at the airport and train stations, and being helped at check in for the hotel made all the difference and we felt personally cared for our whole trip. Andres was so helpful when we first arrived and it was a great bookend that he escorted us to the airport at the end of the trip as well. And may you be as lucky as we were to have Wilbert as your tour guide! He was with us on our Sacred Valley tour and he kept us in great spirits as well as giving us interesting info the while day long. I hope to travel with Valencia again in the future.

While staying in Cusco, we took some time to compare the different agencies offering tours and trekkings around Cusco. As we have been traveling for a long time, we knew that the cheapest agencies often offer tours that are everything but qualitative. Cusco is the starting point of some of the most interesting places in Peru, the Machu Picchu, the rainbow mountains, the sacred valley and therefore, they are hundreds of agencies.
After a lot of research, Valencia Travel appeared as the most qualitative and professional agency organizing the excursions we wanted to take part in. We signed in for day trip to the rainbow mountain and had an amazing experience. The guide spoke English and shared a lot of interesting facts with us, the food was delicious and the general activity was perfectly organisez.
Thanks to this very positive experience, we decided to do the 4 days Lares Trail to Machu Picchu with Valencia Travel. Waouw. We spent the 4 days talking about how impressed we were about the professionalism of the agency. The trek was wonderful, the nature breathtaking but the most impressive part was the service, the kindness of the staff, their organisation,… Everything is in the details, the camp are very confortable, they even bring you tea in your tent to wake you up in the morning!
The food was beyond expectations. At every meal, we had a salad, a soup, a main dish and once we even had a cake that they baked in the tents! Being vegan, we are always a bit scared that it could be a problem for trekkings, but with Valencia it is not at all! We had some of the best foods of our trip during our trekking!
I am so happy that we did the Lares trekking with Valencia as there is no better way to reach the sacred site of Machu Picchu than by doing a trekking in the nature. It is a very special place and trekking to reach it definitely add some magic to the experience!
To conclude, I would highly recommend Valencia for any activities in Peru, it will make your experience unforgettable!!

Just back from a fantastic two week holiday in Peru. We were very well looked after throughout by Valencia travel. Alberto gave us a very informative Lima city tour, full of interesting facts. In Cusco we were looked after by Andreas and Ruben. Ruben was our guide for the four day Classic Inca Trail. His knowledge of history and plants (especially beautiful orchids), combined with the superhuman porters and the amazing meals produced by the cook together made this an unforgettable trek experience-far exceeded any hopes or expectations. Ruben also gave us an excellent city tour of Cusco a couple of days after we finished the trail. All the drivers for the pick ups and drop offs were excellent, punctual, mannerly and very safe. I would highly recommend Valencia travel to anyone planning a trip to Peru.

Just got back from hiking the Inca Trail with Valencia and it was a truly incredible experience. The tour guides were absolutely amazing, helpful, and informative about the trail/ruins/culture. The porters were wonderful people and all extremely helpful. The food was AMAZING. I would never have expected three course meals 20 miles into the trail, but the staff surprised me again and again with hot meals, tea, warm wash water, fun stories, and an amazing time overall. Would highly recommend this travel agency for the Inca Trail.

It’s exactly two weeks since our return from Machu Pichu and not a day goes by that I don’t think of it fondly. What an amazing experience! I can’t say enough about Valencia and the 7 day trip they arranged. From the airport pickup to drop off everything was top notch! Our 4 day/3night inca trail hike was the highlight of course. Our guide and porters were amazing! The food was beyond my expectations! How the chef creates such creative and delicious dishes with limited equipment and supplies is just amazing! We went we our family (two adults and 4 children ages 9, 12, 13, 15) and they did their best thing accommodate everyone! If you are considering a trip to Peru and Machu Pichu don’t even think twice about choosing Valencia! They are the BEST!

The city tour and Sacred Valley tour were great, the 4 day Inca trail hike to Machu Pichu was out of this world. It was everything I had hoped for and more. A very professional, polished tour of the Sacred Valley and trek of the Inca trail. Our tour guide Alex was as knowledgeable of the Incan empire as he was passionate in explaining its history, culture, and religiosity. The team of porters was equally reliable and professional. The chef turned out remarkable meals pretty much on campsite kerosene, at least inasmuch as one could detect—he should be on some adventure cooking show on television….The support staff in Cusco was excellent in their onboarding, debriefing, and in the handling of details.
At 55 and with a helpful dose of camaraderie from my younger trek-mates, including my 16 year-old niece who managed the ascents and descents with aplomb, I felt a sense of accomplishment in completing the trek, which is more vertical than horizontal and ranges from about 9,000 to 12,000 feet over three days. Hiking the trail does require above-average fitness for the middle-aged. No unmanageable parts but a walking stick, reliable shoes, dependable leg muscles and accommodating joints, a relatively light backpack of essentials, and stops along the way to gulp down the thin air, take in the jaw-dropping vistas, pause for passing porters, and make way for grazing llamas—all are required to push through. So is a large reserve of self-deprecation. Alex and other minders were more than indulgent while keeping us all on the move.
Reaching Machu Picchu at the end was paradoxically awe-inspiring and anti-climatic given the splendor of the journey to get there. At the end of it, getting on the train that deposits and returns the vast majority of visitors in the space of a day, I simply couldn’t imagine seeing Machu Picchu without doing the trek.

Myself and three friends booked our Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu and subsequent tour of Lake Titicaca through Valencia and couldn't be happier, especially with the Cusco portion. Andres met us at the airport and was as welcoming and helpful as could be throughout our three days in Cusco. Our guide for the trek, Juan, was incredible. He took care of us, answered our endless questions, joked around with us and basically felt like an old friend by the end of Day 1. The food was beyond expectations; Lucio prepared multiple courses by magic, including constructing animals and flower arrangements out of vegetables! And they're not exaggerating, their porters are the best. They greeted us with big smiles every day, took care to pick the best campsite locations and were truly concerned with the health of the trekkers, especially as two of our group had to head home after the first day. I wholeheartedly recommend them for your Inca Trail/Machu Picchu experience!

Everything was amazing! Nico was the best guide you could ever ask for. Juan De Dios was a magician in a tiny kitchen. The food was awesome at every meal. The porters are the most hardworking individuals I have ever met. This tour was far beyond what we expected. We had a great time.

Hiked the 4 day Inca trail and it was amazing! Valencia was very reliable and fast responding, and made the whole experience very good. Nico was an excellent and informative guide, and his humour helped keep the mood light even with two mostly rainy days! I never expected to be eating four (or more) course meals while backpacking, and the Fredy the cook made scrumptious food. Porters were all very friendly and in good spirits! I highly recommend Valencia, especially at the price.

Valencia Travel was a phenomenal travel agency. Their door-to-door service, planning and logistical organization was top notch. We chose to go on the 2 day-tours in addition to the 4-day Inca Trail hike. Nico was our guide the 1st day to the sights around Cusco. He was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the Incan history and genuinely cared about teaching us about the Incan culture. The Sacred Valley tour was on the 2nd day and Alex was our guide. He is from the Urumbamba area and also did a great job! I enjoyed our stop at Chinchero where a local woman demonstrated how she dyes the alpaca wool with natural ingredients such as seed pods, lichens, roots, corn kernels etc. Ollantaytambo and Pisac were fascinating also. It saddened me to see the looted tombs along the hillsides at Pisac. On the 4-day Incan Trail hike, Nico and Rene were our wonderful guides, Wilfredo was our chef along with 16 porters. These porter or chasquis were incredible! The Peruvian government established strict restrictions in 2000 to limit the amount a porter can carry (50 lbs) and check points along the trail verify the weight limit. Valencia travel chooses to make that weight limit between 30-40 lbs maximum and the company will hire additional porters if necessary. Throughout the hike, the chasquis would bring us coca tea or coffee to our tent in the morning and a bowl of warm water to wash with. They would have a breakfast of bread, meat, cheese, sometimes eggs or omlettes, coffee or hot chocolate. While we ate, they would tear down camp, pack it up, have water boiled for us to take on the trail. They set out snacks for us to also take with us. We would start our hike for the day and they would soon be passing us as they traveled quickly (sometimes running) even with a large pack on their backs. I think they had super-human strength! They would set up lunch and greet us with juice and clapping (for encouragement-which we would return to them as they passed us!) They would have water for us to wash with and the portable toilet set up for the women and a pit toilet for other needs. We would have a huge lunch and set off for the rest of the afternoon. They would soon have the camp packed up and passing us again on the trail. The meals were delicious. We were spoiled!!! Wilfredo and his team (assistant chef and waiter) were excellent! He even surprised me with a birthday cake decorated with frosting, kiwis, strawberries and a jello top!! He is a 5-star chef that can make wonderful creations with the minimum tools at his fingertips! Nico and Rene, our guides, were always full of encouragement. One person in our group was very ill the 2nd day, Nico walked with her, carried her pack and provided encouragement the whole day. He did not tell her she had to turn back. She was better that night and for the rest of the trip. He wanted all of us to succeed! Rene is a person that is quick to smile and laugh and always offered high-5's and encouragement. The guides and chasquis and chefs all came from the same community and seemed to get along well, joking and laughing, all enjoying the camaraderie. It gave the camp a good vibe. The 10 of us trekkers also picked up on that atmosphere and laughed and joked a lot. Nico even packed 2 large historical books to use as a reference when talking about the Inca temples and sites along the way and when we arrived at Machu Picchu. He genuinely cared about teaching us the Incan culture. Nico and Rene were fantastic! People have asked what the best part of the trip was and I would say I would split it into 2 parts: the journey to get to Machu Picchu, which was very difficult, and then actually standing there, in the “Lost City”. I was surprised to find myself saddened to leave Peru. I fell in love with it in the short time I was there and know I will be back. The only travel company I will use will be Valencia Travel.

My daughter and I traveled to Peru for a hiking trip. The people met us on time and we were treated so well the entire trip. I would gladly book with them again. It was a 12 day trip and they exceeded my expectations on a regular basis. The staff that was assigned to us was excellent. The chef stayed up half the night baking a birthday cake for my daughter – on a cook stove! The guide(Niko) was perfect. He was knowledgeable and very kind. He took excellent care of us the entire time.

My friends and I just finished the four day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu yesterday and were very well taken care of by our guides and the porters. Our guides, Eder and Javier were very attune to our needs along the trail. I was struggling with the altitude and intense climbing and decending and they were always there encouraging and telling me what a great job I was doing. They were like mother hens to the group as a whole, making sure everyone was doing okay. The food was spot on as far as meeting the needs for the strenuous hike and I'm a bit of a picky eater.

This is something I have wanted to do for years. When I saw this 4 day Inca trail advertised on the Clymb I grabbed it. From the time we were picked up at the airport in Cusco everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our guides Elistan and Ernesto were very knowledgable and humorous at times, very appreciative of the beautiful scenery and history. Was very happy I bought this deal.

I could not have been more pleased with this tour company. They took very good care of me and my group from the moment we landed to the moment we left Cusco. I felt their prices were perfect for their day tours around Cusco, through the Sacred Valley, and along the Inca Trail. I had two guides I would highly recommend Seibor for the Sacred Valley tour and Elistan for the Inca Trail. Both are very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience so much more enjoyable!
If you are hiking the Inca Trail I highly recommend to go through Valencia Travel. Ask to have Elistan as your guide. The porters are treated very well. They have good hiking shoes, and attire to wear. (though if they could get backpacks that include waist straps I think that would be great!). Ask for Luis to be your cook. I have never eaten so well on a vacation. Luis is amazing at what he can cook up on the trail, we are talking three course meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food is presented as if it was at a 5 star hotel. Incredible!!!
My only other desire is if Valencia offered a Recipe Book of the meals eaten on the trail. I would totally purchase such a piece of "gold".

my partner and i have just returned to uum, after a wonderful 12 day tour of Peru with Rueban as tour lead and some wonderful co-guides including Guido and Maya. Turban was with us 24/7, giving a fully narrated tour but also doing everything for our group, advice on eating places etc, but helping with airport check ins, railway and coach journeys, NOTHING was too much trouble to him, we became firm friends by the time of our tearful goodbye's at Lima airport security, Rueban, you are a credit to. your profession and to your employers, we cant speak highly enough of you, we miss you already x martin and Sharon from england. tour was November 2024

Valencia Travel managed our dream vacation to Machu Picchu for a specially designed 4 night / 5 day Inca Trail trip. Valencia Travel took care of every detail and their staff was incredible. Our trail guide, Lennin, was masterful. He really understood the goals and capabilities of our group and he delivered a truly safe and memorable experience. Enrique our chef deserves a Michelin star – the food was gourmet and thoughtfully prepared. He even somehow managed to prepare a birthday cake for my birthday on the trail. Our team of porters were kind and helpful and inspiring. I would highly recommend Valencia Travel for their extremely competent and knowledgeable team. Superb attention to details and deep commitment to delivering a four star experience. If you choose Valencia, like we did, you will be very very pleased. I would be happy to speak with clients about my experience anytime. It was very special.

I did the 4D/3N Inca Trail hike and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Our guide, Rene, was the kindest and most accommodating guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of touring with. He was knowledgeable, funny, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Our Chef, Mario, blew us away with his 3-course meals. We couldn’t believe we were actually camping each time we sat down to eat! Not only was the food outstanding, but there was always more than enough. As for the rest of the team, our porters exceeded every expectation we had. We literally couldn’t have done it without them. I would very highly recommend Valencia to absolutely anybody interested in making the trek— especially if you are lucky enough to get Rene and Mario to lead your group. Thank you so much Rene, Mario, Wilfredo, Carmelo, Elloterio and the rest of the team for 4 of the best days of my life!

We had an amazing time in Peru. This travel agency got us an excellent, organized itinerary. Guides are perfectly knowledgeable, drivers were friendly and caring about our well being (following a COVID-19 protocol all the time). Before our flight back to the US, they help us to arrange our PCR COVID-19 test and drove us from the hotel to the clinic. They made our trip a great life experience!. We spent most of our time in Cuzco, where we learned about Inca culture thanks to our assigned guide Frank Jara. He went above and beyond our expectations(Tupananchikama ‘until next time’ our friend)✔️✔️. Definitely We’ll be checking all your destinations, so we can start planning our next summer vacation.

We booked a trip to Peru for the summer of 2020, we all know what happened next. We were able to postpone it to June 2021. Valencia was great to work with. We saw more than I can share here! Our guides were awesome, Leo is our newest "cousin" in Peru. Aldo was a MACHINE on the short Inca Trail hike! Miguel was wonderful helping my husband get his wallet back when he left it in the van, and helping us with Covid testing to return to the US. Our driver was excellent, how he stayed on some of the roads is beyond me! Safety and Covid protocols were taken seriously. We highly recommend Valencia.

Valencia was the best company to go with for the Inca trail trek. They treat their porters right, which was an important priority for us. Our guides Aldo and Roland were fantastic, professional, fun and trustworthy. They felt like family by the end of the trek. The food was amazing, and porters were kind, funny, and provided service that was beyond expectations. Some of the planning process through e-mail was frustrating, but upon arrival to Peru Valencia was nothing but organized and well prepared. Would highly recommend Valencia!

Returned this week from hiking the Inca Trail. Hardest physical thing I’ve ever done but thanks to our guides Ed and Rene, and the other amazing 12 people in our group, the most amazing experience of my life. Our “supermen” porters and our chef made this journey something I will never forget. Thank you Valencia Travel Cusco for helping add such richness to my life.

I was amazed by the quality of the service that Valencia Travel provides. I firstly went to see the Rainbow Mountain with them and the experience was so positive and different then the other tours that I booked myself a Lares Trekking during 3 days towards the Machu Picchu. I am so impressed by this company who pays a lot of attention to the small details. The tents were waterproof (for real) and the mattrasses were thick and warm enough to sleep well even at high altitudes. I am vegan and it can be complicated to have proper food served during trekkings but Valencia Travel's chef created the best food I've ever had in Peru and in the middle of the mountains! I even asked for one of his recipes haha. On the last day, he even made a cake to celebrate the end of our trekking, how crazy is that? The guide was so nice and helpful. He taught us many things about nature and the mountains, the Incas, etc. I also loved visiting the Machu Picchu with him because he had our itinerary planned out and that made everything easier. I truly recommend Valencia Travel, they are qualitative and adorable. Enjoy !

To conclude, I would highly recommend Valencia for any activities in Peru, it will make your experience unforgettable!!

wow! what can I say- this was an unforgettable experience. Valencia travel is a top notch company. They walked is through the entire process, answering all of our questions. we are inexperienced hikers so we had a lot of questions. Once we we're in Peru, the company continued to impress us. We had flight issues and they still we're ready for us when we made it to Cusco. On the hike, they were a team that assisted all travelers and made the hike so much fun. I would enthusiastically recommend Valencia travel. Outside of the 4-day hike, we booked two other tours through Valencia travel which were also enjoyable.

My wife and I took a wonderful 4 day Lares Valley trek with Valencia Travel Cusco. The guides were not only incredibly knowledgeable but took care of us like we were their own family. What an incredible trip! My husband and I did the four-day trek to Machu Picchu and it was extraordinary. Our guide, Freddie, was not only informative and encouraging but super fun and hilarious. He kept the trip light, fun, and exciting the whole way and was most knowledgeable about Peruvian culture and history. The porters were very impressive and professional and made our experience more like glamping with fantastic meals fit for kings and wake up calls with warm water to wash and hot coca tea. This is definitely a trip that I will remember forever and comes highly recommended!

Just wanted to pass on some feedback about Valencia Travel Cusco! My fiancé and I were doing the 4 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and we were both VERY happy with the service before, during and after the trail! The trail is definitely difficult especially for unfit people like myself! Both Victor and Anghil were very professional and considerate guides! They kept the group together and set an easy pace that the whole 'family' (as Anghil would say) could keep up with! Before each day began Victor talked us through what we were to expect for the following day and made you feel at ease. Our entire hike was so much fun because of these two guides. They answered any questions and gave us such great insight into the life of the Inca people. I also want to thank the porters! These men are absolutely fantastic. I am still amazed at how much they carry on the trail for the group. Nothing is too hard and they all helped each other to provide excellent service. They were ready at every campsite before us and left after the group started hiking for the day. They clapped for us every time we left or entered the campsite, doesn't seem like much but after hiking for 7-8 hours a day it's a really warm welcome! These porters are definitely not exploited and a good sign of this is that each porter had good quality hiking shoes!! I'm going to assume Valencia provided this to them! Some porters from other travel companies were wearing open sandals and some even converses, imagine walking 40km+ in sandals!! These men taught me a thing or two about hard work! So thank YOU! Now for the food… It was amazing!!! The cook made us feasts everyday! For breakfast, lunch and dinner and believe it or not a CAKE on the last day! It was really cold on our hiking days and we received different soups each day as an entrée and absolutely delicious mains for every meal. I'm talking pork chops, fried chicken, mushroom ceviche, beef stirfry and I'm sure this talented cook could do so much more! Each one of these dishes were so delicious and presented like I was in a restaurant! I'd be careful this man could start up his own restaurant in no time! Valencia travel you have an amazing team and my fiancé and I are lucky to have picked you to do the inca trail! I'm sure there are great travel companies out there but I would recommend you every time. Thanks for the unforgettable experience. Ps. The hotels you work with (in particular Casa Andina) had excellent rooms and service! They deserve more than 3 stars!!

7-day trip in May-June 2015, starting in Cusco and ending with hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu; The experience from start to finish was fantastic! The pre-trip communications were responsive and helpful, the accommodations in Cusco were excellent, and the Machu Picchu trip was the experience of a lifetime! Our guide Efie was terrific! He took us all under his wing, encouraged us, taught us about Inca history, and made sure everything was perfect. Assistant guide Nico also helped us on the trail. The food was unbelievably delicious! Our chef Juan de Dios created wonders in the cook tent three times a day. The hard working porters added to the luxury; applauding when we got to camp each day, with basins of hot water outside our tents for washing off the trail dust. Been home a few days now, and miss the trail life under Efie's supervision, and being one of the "chicos" in Efie's "familia." Can't go wrong with this outfit, and with guide Efrain Matamoros Anchari. Thanks, Efie!
