Day by day schedule:
The train ride itself is a gentle introduction to a mystical Andean world: With terraces carved into mountainsides, waterfalls tumbling down granite walls, and ancient trails still visible from your window seat on the train. After approximately 1.5–2 hours, you arrive in Aguas Calientes, locally known as Machu Picchu Pueblo.
This fascinating little town sits perfectly between emerald Andean peaks and the gushing Urubamba River. Despite its energy and plethora of visitors from all over the world, Aguas Calientes remains deeply connected to the land. With steaming hot springs, handicraft markets, botanical gardens, and beautiful walkways lined with orchids and hummingbirds…. as well as the occasional Inca statue!
You’ll have the afternoon free to explore, relax in the natural hot springs, wander the handicraft markets, or simply sit and take in the sound of the river flowing beneath the mountains. Your early night at the hotel of your choice prepares you for the unforgettable day to come.

Before sunrise, the mountains come to life… and so will you! After an early breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel around 5:40 a.m. to begin your ascent to the Inca sanctuary. A short walk brings you to the bus station, where the 25–30 minute ride carries you up the winding road carved into the mountain.
Passing through the gates of Machu Picchu is always an incredible and emotional experience. As the air hits you, the mountains beckon. The genuine spirit of the Andes and ancestral energies make you feel so much closer to the region and even a profound part of your being.
Your tour of Machu Picchu (approximately 2 hours) will take you to visit its most iconic temples and plazas:
- The Guardian House, where picture-perfect views appear
- Intihuatana, the carved stone aligned with the sun
- The Temple of the Sun, dedicated to Inti (The Sun God)
- The Sacred Plaza
- Vast agricultural terraces and ceremonial sites
Circuits within the sanctuary depend on the regulations by the Ministry of Culture, but your guide will make sure that you experience the beauty and deep meaning of this extraordinary archaeological site to the full.
After the guided visit, you’ll descend back down to Aguas Calientes where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch (not included). Later, the train will take you back along the river to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will welcome you and drive you to your hotel in Cusco.

Fantastic experience of traveling & exploring Peru

Hotels were good or very good. Guide (Ruben) was very knowledgeable and looked after his “family “ well. Sometimes tours went over time meaning very late lunches ie 3pm and it would have been better if we had been warned and therefore prepared.

The Peru Experience
We had an absolutely wonderful experience in Peru! We started in Lima and visited Cusco, the Amazon Jungle, Machu Picchu and climbed Rainbow Mountain. The trip was made even better by our tour guide Jose Baca. Jose was extremely organised and caring of our individual needs. I really appreciated his kindness, patience, sense of humour and expert knowledge. He worked tirelessly to make this an unforgettable time for us. I would highly recommend this trip.

A magical and life changing journey through Peru!
Our Peru adventure exceeded all expectations thanks to our incredible guide Juan Collado. From the moment we met him in Lima to the final farewell in the Amazon, Juan didn’t just guide us he orchestrated one of the best trips of our lives. He took us through Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and deep into the Amazon with the kind of passion, knowledge, humour and heart that has made him a friend. And when life decided to throw us a horrible curveball with our passports being stolen, Juan was our guardian angel. He handled everything calmly with confidence and compassion. He supported us every step of the way and turned a stressful situation into something we could actually breathe through. We felt safe, cared for and completely looked after. His knowledge of Peru is next level. His energy is contagious. His kindness is unforgettable. And his ability to bring the magic of each place to life was phenomenal!!! Día increíble e inolvidable
Desde la puerta de nuestro hotel hasta dejarnos después de un largo día, este es un tour inolvidable. Miguel y el conductor nos recogieron y nos llevaron al tren panorámico, nos dieron todos nuestros detalles y nos aseguramos de que partimos disfrutando de las vistas mientras nos dirigíamos al autobús de recogida para Machu Picchu. Amazing Inca trail Experience
We had an amazing experience with Valencia travel and the Inca trail. Luis was o uie and was so thoughtful, entertaining and great company, he really did make our trip so special. Wilfredo and all of the porters were amazing and it was great to see them whenever we stopped for lunch or overnight. Overall an incredible experience and we are incredibly grateful to Valencia travel, all of the porters and especially Luis for all their hard work in making our trip amazing!

¡Una experiencia magnífica! El Short Inca Trail trekking fue una aventura inolvidable. Todo estaba muy bien organizado: las comidas eran excelentes y el alojamiento en Aguas Calientes era muy cómodo. Muchas gracias a Carlos, nuestro guía excepcional, que hizo esta experiencia aún más especial. Siempre se tomaba el tiempo para ir a nuestro ritmo, para tomar descansos regulares, para dejarnos tomar todas las fotos que queríamos, y sobre todo, para compartir su conocimiento de la vegetación y la historia de los sitios incas a lo largo del camino hasta Machu Picchu. Amazing Peru!!
We were able to experience Peru with Corina from Valencia Travel Cusco and she and the 6 day tour were stellar ! The tour ran like clockwork and Corina always kept a watchful eye on all of us ! She like the country is amazing ! The hotels, transfers and sites were all grand and right in the center of everything ! Corina’s knowledge and experience with all the sites we visited was top notch . We learned so much about her Inka ancestors and throughly enjoyed the food and history. Machu Pichu was obviously the highlight and Corina encouraged us to think positively for good weather and it was delivered !

Great Tour Guides
Our guides were amazing and included the following; Ewardo, Lewis x 2, Alberto, Emily, Elijah and drivers such as Ritchie. Our accommodation was central to the towns we visited. Our guides were well prepared, knowledgeable and patient with our numerous questions. The optional tours were value for money. Ewardo ensured we all caught our flights at the end of the tour including sorting out some airline problems. Our activities for the day included everything we needed to know about where and when to meet, wake up calls and meal breaks. Really wonderful group of guides and drivers can't speak highly enough of them. We would recommend them very highly if you what a relaxed and enjoyable exploration of magical Peru.

Spirit of South America – Peru leg
Completed the Peru leg of the trip a deal “spirit of South America tour” via Valencia travel. Have completed the Peru leg and have thoroughly enjoyed. Great tour guides and very knowledgeable. Our group had Ruben who was very caring and thoughtful.In terms of the tour itself, Cusco was amazing.The Amazon section of the tour was a bit of a let down, could have been shorter. Was a shame we didn’t get to see many animals.

Perfecto Machu Picchu y Valle Sagrado tour.
Fuimos guiados por nuestro fantástico guía Eduardo, de Valencia Travel, como parte de un TripADeal Sth. Gira americana. Desde la recogida en el aeropuerto, llegar a todas partes a tiempo, organizar nuestras habitaciones de hotel, Eduardo se aseguró de que aprovecháramos al máximo nuestros 5 días en Perú. Empezó con un par de días en el Valle Sagrado, que era un lugar muy interesante, excepto por los fuegos artificiales en la primera noche, y el tren de medianoche entrando por la segunda, justo fuera de nuestro dormitorio. Luego bajamos a Cusco y el espectacular viaje en tren a Aguas Calientes. Cogimos el bus de las 6 am a la entrada del Parque, donde tuvimos mucha suerte con el clima para nuestro día en Machu Picchu, y llegamos allí para ver el sitio al amanecer, y la experiencia de Eduardo vino cuando nos estaba dando toda la información sobre la historia de las increíbles ruinas incas. 6 de nuestro grupo de 10 regresaron a la ciudad alrededor del mediodía, mientras que los otros 4 fueron liderados por Eduardo sobre Huanya Picchu, que va mucho más alto y tiene un camino muy estrecho, en el camino de regreso a la ciudad. Esta sección peruana fue un gran comienzo para nuestra aventura, y Eduardo siempre estuvo ahí para ayudar y dar consejos para hacer todo más fácil.

Trip a Deal Peru 10 days
We had an amazing time discovering Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and the Amazon at EcoAmazonia with our guide Frank Jara. Frank was so knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. He had a group of 23 Australians as part of a Tripadeal holiday package and his humour and outlook totally matched the groups. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and wished that he could have followed us through to Argentina, Brazil and Chile as he has knowledge of all those countries. Anyone who gets Frank Jara as their tour guide will be very lucky.

Valle Sagrado y Machu Picchu
Tour por Valle Sagrado, Machu Picchu y Huayna Picchu, incluyendo circuito 2 y 3. Great Trekking Experience, Need to Work on Pre- and Post- Trip Communications
As you’d expect with a four-day trek, there were highlights—and a few lowlights—with our Valencia Travel experience. The positives far outweighed the negatives, which is why I still give it 4 stars and would recommend Valencia. But they (and you) can learn from the communication issues we faced.The TripOur trip was the 4-day/3-night Classic Inca Trail with Valencia Travel about 9 months in advance. We opted for a 7-person private tour, which was a modest upgrade from the group tour and well worth it. Arriving in Cusco 3 days before the trek helped us adjust to the altitude—highly recommended. We stayed at an Airbnb in Cusco before and after the trek.The PositivesUltimately, you are there for the four-day hike. The trek was awesome. All the equipment (except for the hiking pole) was great – they supplied the tents, hiking poles, sleeping bags, and air mattresses (the last three were extra, but well worth it and good quality). The food was fantastic. Hats off to our cook. Our porters were great—friendly and top notch in their support of our trek. Our guide, Leevo was FANTASTIC. He was a font of knowledge and a source of fun. And, he played the flute, often bringing it out while we hiked. This bonus made the trip seem all the more magical.The NegativesThe biggest concern we had was poor communication, especially at key moments.What to Know as a Traveler:• Expect a pre-trek meeting the night before.• They may randomly drop off duffle bags at your lodging.• They stop at a restaurant the morning of the trek (no need to prep breakfast).• If you damage equipment, even accidentally, they may try to charge high replacement fees.What Valencia Should Know:As a marketing professor, I share these details to help you improve your customer experience.• We didn’t hear about the pre-trek meeting until the morning of the day before, forcing us to cancel dinner plans. Let us know earlier. • Duffle bags were dropped off without notice—luckily, we were home. Inform us when you will arrive.• You failed to prepare for our extra luggage storage, despite prior emails. We were blamed for not explicitly confirming, which caused unnecessary stress the night before we are to leave.• We bought breakfast ahead of time based on their write-up, only to find out they stop at a restaurant.• One of our rented hiking poles broke mid-trek (not due to misuse). Afterward, they asked us to pay $125 for it, later reduced to $50, and finally accepted $10. It wasn’t the money that was frustrating, it was how poorly the situation was handled, which left a bad final impression.

Viví esta experiencia con otras 16 mujeres musulmanas en Estados Unidos y Canadá, y fue una experiencia inolvidable. Las vistas eran absolutamente impresionantes, pero lo que realmente hizo que el viaje fuera especial fueron nuestros increíbles guías, Guillermo y Luis. ¡María hizo un excelente trabajo con todos los preparativos del viaje! Los hoteles en los que nos alojamos eran muy agradables. El transporte fue maravilloso y nunca tuvimos que preocuparnos por ningún detalle. Cuando surgió un problema con nuestro vuelo a nuestro próximo destino y el horario del tren desde Machu Pichu, se solucionó rápidamente. ¡Se cambiaron los billetes de tren para garantizar que pudiéramos tomar nuestro vuelo e incluso nos mejoraron la categoría! La caminata de 4 días en el Camino Inca a Machu Picchu fue increíble! Nuestro guía, Yendre, fue paciente, amable, divertido, interesante y compartió mucho sobre la cultura y espiritualidad Inca con todos nosotros. Los porteadores hicieron un trabajo increíble para hacernos sentir cómodos en los campamentos y el chef, Wilfredo, preparó algunas de las mejores comidas que he probado en mi vida. Ruben was an amazing tour guid. He was understanding when altitude sickness hit and was fun and entertaining. All of the other guides were also wonderful. The knowledge they have was spectacular. Sobresaliente – Muy recomendable
Maria en Valencia travel organizó un increíble viaje privado de 7 noches. Aterrizamos en Lima y tuvimos un recorrido por la ciudad el día 1 , luego volamos a Cusco en las aerolíneas Latem, recomendaría subir de categoría a asientos económicos premium. Cuando llegamos nuestro guía privado y conductor nos recibió, Guillermo era tremendo, así que conocedor y servicial. Viajamos al Valle Sagrado y nos detuvimos en una ciudad local para ver cómo se hacían las alfombras / ropa. Finalmente llegamos a nuestro hotel – Aranwa Valle Sagrado. Era un buen hotel con vistas al río, nos elevaron a una suite con chimenea y spa. La cena en el hotel fue excelente, pero el desayuno fue decepcionante. Luego tuvimos un día fabuloso explorando el Valle Sagrado. Al día siguiente nos levantamos temprano para visitar Machu Picchu. La estación de tren estaba a 45 minutos de nuestro hotel y el viaje en tren era de unos 90 minutos. Actualizamos al tren del Observatorio Vistadome, esto bien valió la pena, nos sirvieron comida / bebidas y había música local. Fue un viaje muy agradable. Cuando llegamos a Machu Picchu, tomamos un autobús a la entrada. El sitio Inca no decepcionó que era increíble. Luego nos alojamos en Cusco en el Palacio del Inka, este fue un excelente hotel, justo enfrente del templo del sol. Recorrimos Cusco lo siguiente y luego tuvimos una experiencia privada de elaboración de chocolate que fue muy divertido. Luego nos trasladamos de regreso a Lima para el vuelo a casa. El viaje fue todo lo prometido y más. Ambos hoteles eran geniales y nuestro guía Guillermo y el conductor eran excepcionales. Recomiendo encarecidamente María y Valencia un viaje. El precio era muy razonable para un tour privado y alojamiento de lujo.

El mejor día de nuestro viaje a Cuzco
Me encantó este día. Reservamos el viaje en tren hasta Machu Picchu. Miguel nuestro primer chico nos recogió en un coche y tomó un viaje de verano hasta la estación de tren. Subimos al tren, que fue una experiencia encantadora y nos cuidaron mucho las vistas desde el tren eran absolutamente preciosas. Una vez que llegamos, Elizabeth nuestro guía nos recibió y nos llevó en un recorrido por Machu Picchu. Ella era absolutamente fantástico y muy informativo. Tan feliz que reservamos un guía y no caminamos por nuestra cuenta. Más tarde regresó con nosotros en el autobús y nos trajo a la ciudad cercana y nos recomendó un buen lugar para comer. Luego tomamos un autobús de regreso a Cuzco donde Miguel nos recogió y nos trajo de regreso a nuestro hotel. No puedo culpar el día que fue tan bueno.

Excelente información con la guía conocida
Corina era nuestro guía turístico y nos recibió temprano en nuestro hotel. Estableció el tono, ya que su energía era positiva y comenzó contándonos sus propias historias de viaje, lo que le proporcionó un amplio conocimiento personal de cómo apoyar a sus compañeros de viaje. Éramos parte de un grupo de 32 personas y nos convertimos en una familia para el resto de nuestros viajes. Hice un tour por Cusco, Machu Picchu con Trip a Deal que contrató a Valencia Travel y no puede hablar más de Valencia Travel y los guías turísticos Aldo & Renee. Machu Picchu and Unbeatable South America & Antarctica
WOW – awesome – sensational stuff. We did this Machu Picchu tour as part of an overall 5-week package with Trip-a-Deal and the Peru section, including Machu Picchu, was managed by VALENCIA TRAVEL CUSCO. I would thoroughly recommend Valencia Travel in Peru. Our main guide from Valencia Travel was Claudio Andia and he also had several other colleagues with him to assist with pick ups, bus drivers and other guides because our group was quite large (32 people)Claudio got our whole group together on the very first night, and he created a "FAMILY" out of us all which was reinforced through a What's App chat group that Claudio set up for us. I think this also made the entire trip more enjoyable, so much so that we carried that FAMILY group on for the rest of out trip – another 4 weeks through South America and Antarctica. I can't thank you enough Claudio and Valencia Travel and Trip a Deal for creating such a fantastic Family Group Dynamic.

This experice was new for new but the Team made all the best to make my trip comfortable and memorable. De nuestra colección por Adrian en el aeropuerto de Lima y nuestro servicio de transporte a nuestro súper hotel han sido geniales. Frantz nuestro guía para un recorrido a pie por la Vieja Lima fue absolutamente brillante. PERU – an amazing experience
The places we visited were wonderful and our guide Ruben Soto Vera had excellent knowledge of all the Incan sites. Machu Picchu was a highlight even though the weather was foggy and occasionally raining, it was a once in a lifetime experience. Cusco is an interesting city as it was central to the Incas and visiting the main Cathedral and sites around it were fascinating.We also did an Amazon extension. The Corte Maltes lodge was comfortable and food plentiful. Staff were attentive and friendly. The highlight was visiting a native tribe upriver who showed us how they hunted for food and grew their own crops and animals. Their simple lifestyle was inspirational. Would recommend.

Fantástica experiencia con esta empresa en Perú
Viaje de toda la vida. No puedo creer que cubrimos tanto en tan poco tiempo y no nos sentimos apresurados. Estos chicos conocen el país de adentro hacia afuera, felizmente compartieron historias y conocimientos Y administraron nuestro grupo a la perfección. Los inicios tempranos, los momentos menos ocupados, se sienten perfectamente seguros y considerados. Grandes guías y todos asociados con ellos. Nuestro guía principal Rubén nos cuidó como familia. Enormemente agradecido a los guías de Amazon Raúl, Ronaldo y el equipo de la logia. Y el guía del Cusco Eduardo, excelente 👏 Estoy tan feliz de haber sido parte de esta experiencia y los recomendaría encarecidamente. Tuvimos una aventura increíble con Víctor y Valencia Travel en nuestro Camino Inca de 4 días Trek. Desde el momento en que conocimos a nuestro guía, Víctor, nos trató como a la familia y nos mantuvo informados y en camino todos los días. Su riqueza de conocimiento y pasión por la historia, la naturaleza y la cultura peruana fue increíble! Disfrutamos de conocerlo y visitar varios sitios incas a lo largo de nuestra caminata. La caminata en sí fue un reto, TANTAS escaleras ; ) , pero una maravillosa sensación de logro como caminamos en el campamento cada noche! Nuestros porteadores y chef merecen un increíble aplauso, son personas increíbles y les agradecemos su arduo trabajo. ¡Las comidas que tuvimos en el campamento fueron increíbles! Realmente disfrutamos estar emergidos en sabores y costumbres peruanas! ¡La hora del té antes de la cena siempre fue un placer! Nuestras tiendas individuales y tienda de comida eran geniales y yo en buenas condiciones. También fue un verdadero placer tener un cuenco de agua tibia proporcionada después de un largo día de trekking antes de la hora de la comida : ) Recomendaría 100% Valencia Travel para un Camino Inca. ¡Y si tienes la suerte de tener a Victor como guía, te espera un verdadero placer! ¡Gracias Papa V! Victor incluso fue más allá para ayudar a coordinar el transporte al aeropuerto para nosotros con Valencia después de nuestro Trek en el regreso a Cusco y eso fue muy apreciado!

Tuvimos una increíble experiencia de 4 días en el Camino Inca con Victor y un equipo de porteadores que todos trabajaron tan duro para garantizar que tuvimos el mejor viaje. Víctor era tan conocedor de la historia inca y del Perú en general, y siempre se aseguró de que supiéramos qué esperar de cada día. Lo llamamos “Papa V”, y se refirió a nosotros como familia. La caminata en sí fue muy desafiante pero extremadamente gratificante, y tuvimos la suerte de tener a Victor y la tripulación junto para el viaje.

Seamless travel experience with a local Peruvian company – Valencia Travel Cusco
Valencia Travel Cusco offered a seamless experience from start to finish! There was a staff that was always available by WhatsApp in case of questions. The company arranged pick up, drop off at the different venues and excellent quality local guides. Kudos to our Sacred valley guide Mariella Pumachapi who speaks Spanish, Quechua, English fluently and not only guided us through the archaeological sites, given her anthropology background but also had insight to the many traditional herbs and plants. If I were to recommend the trip to family I would particularly ask Valencia to give 4 star hotels at least, as some of the 3 star were very basic. Overall, a great experience! Thanks Valencia and our guides Mariela, Alberto Gomez and Elisabeth.

Ruta del Inca
Desde la recogida en el aeropuerto – en el primer día para dejar – en el séptimo día, nos sentimos bien atendidos y muy seguros! La caminata en sí fue increíble (aunque muy exigente físicamente) , y es difícil encontrar palabras para describir el asombro y la maravilla que experimenté al ver el paisaje que nos rodea. Nuestro guía Mijail, y el equipo de porteadores hicieron su misión personal vernos llegar a Machu Picchu. Además de guiarnos con seguridad, Mijail también proporcionó una gran cantidad de conocimientos sobre el área, las plantas y animales que la habitan, y la historia del Imperio Inca y el pueblo quechua. Sin duda recomendaría este tour!

Left to Disconnect, Left More Connected to Myself
The Valencia Team was incredible to work with. Mijail, our guide, and our team of porters “willed” me to camp each night. I did not do adequate altitude training (learn from my mistake!) and by the second half of the day it was all willpower and heart moving me forward, much of which was given to me by the team. Be prepared for “Andean flat” which is just when your Andean team says something is flat but then you realize you have different definitions of “flat.” Besides the great vibes, we learned a ton from Mijail, who is a Quechuan local. His knowledge of flora, fauna, history, and pride & love for his people made him a goldmine of information. I will never forget this trip.

Gran tour a Rainbow Mountain con Edwardo
Buen día con Edwardo. Nuestro grupo de 10 personas reservó el tour a través de nuestro guía Aldo, quien organizó el tour solo para nosotros. Fue un día maravilloso. Edwardo era el anfitrión perfecto. Pensó en todo y nos enseñó español en el camino. Recomiendo encarecidamente este tour. El desayuno y el almuerzo fue genial y la experiencia de estar en Rainbow Mountain es increíble. Wouldn’t want to use any other travel agency!!!
My family and I were planning a trip to Peru and Valencia Travel had great reviews so we decided to use them to plan our 6 day adventure packed vacation. From the moment I contacted them, Aracely was informative and helpful, she answered my many questions, and she planned the entire itinerary for the 6 of us. When we got to Peru we were met with our driver and transport guide and from then on it was nothing but an absolutely wonderful vacation. Everything went so smoothly and when we did have a tiny issue it was resolved instantly. We never had to worry about where we were going or when. In Cusco we were blessed with an amazing guide Claudio. He took us to Sacred Valley, Machupicchu and Rainbow Mountain. He was not only informative but became like family. He took amazing care of us and was exactly what we needed in a guide. All in all I can’t recommend Valencia Travel enough. They go above and beyond and our vacation wouldn’t have been what it was without them!!

This was an excellent tour: top hotels, nice sites chosen, very good drivers and buses, good food. Our guide Rolly Carrasco was an exceptional Tour Leader in every way. Professional, always punctual, extremely well organised. Rolly did his utmost to help us when required and always with a smile. His knowledge of Peru and the Incas is spot on. I would recommend him any time.His assistant Rene was also very pleasant and professional. He did what he could to assist and was always there to offer his help when needed. I would also have no hesitation in recommending him. Well done Rene and Rolly!

Favorite parts of Peru and Valencia Travel
This was by far my favorite part of Peru! We did the Private Package including 2 Days Sacred Valley Tour + Machu Picchu and a Full Day Rainbow Mountain. Our tour guide, Claudio was extremely knowledgeable; at every turn he was explaining history, culture, and ancestry. He made sure that everything was handled so that we were able to enjoy all the sites and some excellent local food along the way. He was extremely personable, kindhearted, and even recovered a lost ring as well as cleanes/bandaged some minor scrapes. As we traveled across the beauty of Peru he shared in depth history, helpful recommendations for foods, souvenirs, and took wonderful family photos. We were also very thankful for Rolando and his expert driving skills! I would highly recommend them for any excursion in this area and could easily plan a multi day Machupicchu hike with Claudio in the future! I must also give high honor to our travel agent Aracely. She was incredible. We had a very tightly packed 8 day trip in Peru and she helped us cover excursions in Lima, Ica, Paracas, Cusco and many other cities/tours. She was exceptionally responsive and coordinated concerns with drivers, hotels, guides, flights, and our family with compassion and respect. Without any reserve, I would recommend her for planning your Peru trip!

Tour a Cusco y Machu Picchu
Rubén, nuestro guía turístico, era fantástico, tiene buen sentido del humor, está muy bien organizado y es una gran fuente de conocimiento e información. Sin Rubén, habríamos quedado varados en el aeropuerto de Santiago y perdido el vuelo de conexión a Lima, ya que LATAM cambió inesperadamente la puerta de salida, pero no hizo un anuncio en inglés. Definitely! This is one of the most care-free ways to visit Machu Picchu. This adventure doesn´t include a lot of hiking (except around the archaeological site, of course) and it is perfect for families with children, older travelers, or anyone who prefers to experience the mystical Machu Picchu at a more relaxed pace.
The difficulty level is low. As previously mentioned, the only walking is within the archaeological site, which includes stone pathways, some steps, and some ups and downs.
