The Spirit of the Inca Trails
Centuries ago, the Incas built over 30,000 kilometers of roads and trails that connected what we now know as Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile. All paths led to Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire — the “navel of the world” — where cultures, goods, and ideas converged. These roads were more than stone and earth; they were lifelines that connected people, fostered unity, and allowed the empire to flourish.
At Valencia Travel, we carry forward this same spirit. Just as the Incas built roads to connect distant communities, we create journeys that connect people, cultures, and traditions. For us, the Andean legacy is not just history — it’s a living philosophy. We believe these interconnections must not be lost, but rather extended to reach the furthest corners of today’s global community of travelers.
Our Goals
By 2025, we aim to achieve a 20% increase in itineraries that bring travelers to developing destinations, ensuring that tourism revenue is more widely distributed and that communities beyond the most-visited sites also benefit.
How We Will Do This.
- Introduce travelers to emerging destinations, giving them the chance to explore Peru beyond the classics.
- Promote new regions that remain authentic, untouched, and free from over-tourism.
- Highlight secondary cities and rural areas, supporting a more even spread of tourism opportunities and income.
- Encourage responsible exploration, so that the spirit of the Inca roads — connection, exchange, and discovery — lives on in every journey.
